Christmas Day!

We had a really fun Christmas! Ryder got spoiled by everybody and now we have a house full of toys:) Next we need a bigger house! He loves tractors and was pretty excited about all the new ones!

What a Funny Boy!

Ryder is being so funny lately! He has the cutest personality and I am always grabbing for the camera to get a picture of something cute he does! Here are a few I caught with my cell phone. (sorry the pictures aren't that great)

I thought He would Like It...

Well, I thought Ryder would love the snow. Erik and I even went and got him a snow suit. I bundled him all up and the minute I sat him down this is what happened. What followed was a big fit that ended back in the house after being out there about 2 minutes! Oh well, maybe next time!

Aloha!

Well, we made it back from Kauai! We had a great time. Ryder loved the beach and wanted to play in the sand most of the time! We went with my whole family, with the exception of 7 of the grandkids. Just the 2 babies came! We had so much fun! I even tried snorkeling... (it really scared me though)! We are so lucky to be able to do things like this as a family. Life is Good:)

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Well, every year we love going to the Pumpkin Patch. This year was definetly alot harder to get good pictures because Ryder is all over the place. He is growing so fast. We had a great time, he loved climbing on the pumkins. Happy Fall!

Erik SAVES THE DAY!

Okay, so Erik is my hero. The other day I am sitting here just blogging away and all the sudden something runs across the kitchen floor. Before I know it I am on the Table and scared to death. I didn't think I was scared of mice but when it came right down to it I was! So I called Erik in a panic and he hurried home from work to try and calm me down. I swear I am the only one in the world with a mouse in their house and it is so disgusting! Well we got him... the mouse, on one of those sticky traps (by the way I don't recommend them) After we got it Erik thought it was kinda cute and didn't want to kill it, but he did. Hopefully it was the only one but we have sticky traps all over our floor. I am trying hard to keep Ryder away from them!!!

My Little Farmer!

Well, they finally cut the corn field behind our house. Me and Ryder had quite a day watching all the tractors come and go. He can say tractor (one of his first words) and he loved pointing and waving to them!

So, dinner was great! It was good to catch up and see everyone! We need to get together more often!

Childproofing Our House

Well, the day is here. Ryder is walking all over! We are having to put everything away. Today I found a pair of my flip flops in the garbage can! He loves the oven drawer and thinks it is pretty cool to get in it and ride it like a horse. I can't believe he is walking... they grow up way to fast!

Jackson Hole

We just got back from Jackson. Erik was in the annual Lotoja (Logan to Jackson) Bike Race. He did a relay this year. His part was from Montpelier, Idaho to Afton, WY. He did really good. Me and Ryder followed him and then we went to Jackson. We had a fun time. We had to stop and look at all the tractors we saw (well, Ryder saw). He loves tractors and there were quite a few driving through the farm land in Idaho. Anyway, we had a good time. Check out the pictures!

Cafe Rio

Hi everybody! Well, I just have to tell ya all I found these recipes for Cafe Rio. I made them a few nights ago and thet are the exact same thing! You gotta give them a try... The DRESSING: 1 ranch dressing packet (make like the pkg. says), 2 Tomatillos (tomato like vegetable with a husk around them), 1/2 bunch cilantro, 1 clove garlic, juice of a half of lime. Blend all in food processor and refrigerate. TASTES JUST LIKE IT. THE CHICKEN: 1 bottle Kraft zesty Italian dressing, 1 T. Chili powder, 3 cloves garlic, 5 lbs. chicken breast. Cook all together in crockpot and shred. CAFE RIO RICE: 3 C. water, 4 t. chicken bouillon, 4 t. garlic, 1/2 bunch cilantro, 1 can green chilie, 3/4 t. salt, 1 T. Butter, 1/2 onion, 3 c. Rice. ( I used minute rice and just added everything in when I put the rice in and then put the lid on and let stand.) Okay, its really good. Then I bought black beans and fresh tortillas. Try it out!

Water From The Hose

Theres nothing quite like drinking water from the hose! Ryder had a blast playing in the water, its amazing how the smallest, simple things can make him so happy!

Update on our Family

Well, we hope everyone is doing good. We are excited at all the blogs we are starting to see, it is so fun to see everyones familys and actually be able to sort of keep in touch through them. Our family is doing good. Erik is the Employee of the Month this month. He will make fun of me for announcing it, but I think it is pretty cool. Ryder is now 1 year old and getting quite the little persnality! He can almost walk but prefers to crawl (its much faster!) He said his first sentence a few days ago. I walked in his room and he had crawled up on his mattress (we just have it on the floor instead of a crib) I looked at him and said, "Ryder, you did it.) He looked back at me and said "I did it". I was amazed, I think I about fell over. Now he says it all the time. He also says Tractor and light. He loves turning the lights off and on. He is growing so fast. We love every minute we spend with him. I am having a great time being a stay at home mom. We spend lots of time playing trucks and going to the Tree House Museum. Anyway, hope to hear from you all.

American Idol Tour

Well, me and Erik went to the American Idol Tour last night! It was really fun. Erik gave me tickets for my birthday since you know I am like the biggest Idol fan. We sat on the 5th row, and loved the show. Blake was really good, and Jordin (the winner) was too, but I think Melinda was the best and should have won it all! Anyway. We had a good time!

Uncle Doug built Ryder this cutest Rocking Horse. He loves to climb on it and rock.

Mr. Farr West!

Ryder won the baby contest! What a sweet victory! He won the MOST HAPPY, LOOKS MOST LIKE DAD, and MOST TEETH... then he took home the overall title in his age group. I am one proud Mom! He rode in the parade in Farr West. Our little King!
